Pdf files optimization
Hello to all the team,

I have some questions about Google SEO by pdf files being downloaded.
On my site, I added more links (to download tables in pdf format) to a remote server.

Question 1: Does google see the contents of the downloadable pdf file when the robot goes on my site?
Question 2: is is also more or less effective in the listing, the text typed directly on the site?
Question 3: As I have several tables in pdf format for download to propose to my visitors, is it better (always from the standpoint of SEO by google) put all files in one category or create a heading by file to download?

A very big thank you in advance.

Hi Evelyne,

Here are answers to your questions :

Question 1 : Yes, Google indexes PDF.

Question 2 : PDF is much less effective for referencing. Google will always prefer the web pages rather than the PDF.

Question 3 : This is the same, but if your concern is to have a good optimization, it is in your interest to the text of your PDF directly in your site.

Regards,
